Queensland 1860 6d Green, Perkins Bacon London print. Imperforate, Large Star Watermark, SG #3 stunning looker at $1,500 UNDER SG! - MOST attractive used, with unusually light 'sunburst' rays sharp metal cancel, that as usual has lightly ‘pricked’ the wafer thin paper, leaving truly microscopic pinholes mentioned for strict accuracy. Clean and fresh and flat, NO old hinges or remains, and with no usual aging or foxing, and deep bright colour as can be seen. Razor sharp plate impression from these London prints. AND I guarantee it is SG #3! 99% on ebay are simply the common later 6d perforated SMALL star wmk, with scissor cut off perfs! Value NIL. But the Clueless Bunnies gleefully BUY them as 'SG #3'. The impressions were set very close together on the printing plate, and good margins on these are most unusual. From RH margin of the sheet, with 3 massive margins – with a large chunk of adjoining stamp at left! Top copies are getting 4 figures these days. Superb eye-appeal as you can see.
