The rarer shade of the top value 1/- Denomination, and nothing at all like the other 1/- shade in this issue, the Yellow Green (itself a £350 stamp.) Clean and fresh, and guaranteed by me to have no faults or repairs of any kind, as a large chunk of better Cape Triangles sadly have. Expertised multiple times, from a fine old collection. Crisp plate impression, from Perkins Bacon in London. SG 8b, Deep Dark Green - cat £550=$A1,100, and has far better than usual margins for this. SG prices are similar for mint or used on the Dark Green but specialists agree USED on this shade is many times less often seen. Bright rich colour and wonderfully LIGHT cancel for these. Like early States imperf issues, TOP copies of these, such as this one, often well exceed full SG cat when offered at Spink or Feldman etc, after the 25% Buyer Fee is added on! A gem shape, and all time ‘Classic’ for 164 years old - Cat $1,100 for just $US290 at $A450 - Stock 385KC
